ABOUT LEWISBORO ONLINE

Lewisboro Online is an outreach, volunteer, not-for-profit organization, located in Westchester County whose mission is to:

  • Provide community members with a convenient interactive site to obtain information concerning services, issues and activities that impact them in their daily lives.

  • Enable residents to address community needs by providing forums, which facilitate the exchange of thoughts and information so that issues and other points of view are communicated, appreciated and understood.

THE LEWISBORO ONLINE COMMUNITY CENTER

Lewisboro Online's approach to executing its mission is to provide our community members with an online community center complex. This complex simulates a town community center with buildings containing information pertinent to our community members. The Lewisboro Online Community Center is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Lewisboro Online's Board of Directors is a distinguished group of residents who are dedicated to promoting the well-being of our community of Lewisboro, New York. COMMUNITY RESPONDS

Community Members testify to the success of Lewisboro Online

  • I have visited the site several times in the past year and think it's great, offering residents new ways to address officials with their concerns, a chance to voice their opinions through polls and providing quick links to important town services, etc., (Review from the Patent Trader).
  • I like the Lewisboro Online Opinion Polls because it gives residents a chance to say what’s on their minds. “It improves our understanding of what the community is feeling.” (Katonah-Lewisboro School Board President, 2002)
  • What a great site! Thanks for providing such a service. The e-mail notification of school delays/closings is a wonderful feature. I don't know how you have time to organize this, but I appreciate it.
  • Just wanted to say once again what an absolutely wonderful forum this web site is. The polls about the budget as well as the comments are such a valuable service!!!
  • It wasn't until I read the article in the Lewisboro Ledger that I became aware of your (e-mail notification) service. It needs to be more widely publicized. I for one think that this is great!
  • Lewisboro Online is a media outlet, just as radio and television stations have been for years (Lewisboro Ledger Editorial)
  • LewisboroOnline.org is the best site for obtaining information about Lewisboro. You can easily spend an hour just poking around. The stated mission of Lewisboro Community Website is to provide community members with a convenient interactive site to obtain information concerning services, issues, and activities that impact them in their daily lives. This site does it. It is worth a look - (Written by Warren Schloat and published in the Waccabuc Report Winter 2003/2004 Issue).
